For your AI assistant · MCP

cagnIQ, inside your assistant.

Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor — anything that speaks the Model Context Protocol can pull cagnIQ's reads directly: the same past-tense sentences, with the window, sample size and date attached, so your assistant grounds on real figures instead of guessing. MCP access is part of PRO.

Your brokerage knows what you hold. It was never built to explain why any of it moved. cagnIQ speaks MCP — the same open standard your AI assistant uses to connect to the tools you already work with. If your brokerage speaks it too, your assistant can hold both connections at once: your positions on one side, cagnIQ's intelligence on the other, one conversation between them. Ask why a stock you hold moved. What its options tape did. How it traded around past earnings. Each answer carries its window, its sample size and its day. cagnIQ's side is read only — it cannot see your account, place anything, or reach your broker. Start free at cagniq dot com.

Step 1

Get a PRO account

MCP access is part of PRO. Start for free, upgrade inside the app when you want your assistant connected.

Step 2

Create a key

App → Settings → AI access. Name the key for the machine it lives on. It is shown once — cagnIQ stores only a hash.

Step 3

Paste one command

Each client below is a single config entry. Ask your assistant about any US stock and it pulls the same reads the app shows.

Connect your client

Claude Code

claude mcp add cagniq --transport http https://app.cagniq.com/mcp/ --header "Authorization: Bearer cqk_YOURKEY"

Claude Desktop — claude_desktop_config.json

Desktop reaches header-authenticated remote servers through the mcp-remote bridge — needs Node.js 18+ (check with node --version). Find the file via Settings → Developer → Edit Config; the key rides in env because Desktop on Windows mangles args containing spaces. Restart Desktop after editing.

claude.ai on the web and ChatGPT connectors need OAuth — that wave is next. The URL carries its trailing slash on purpose; keep it.

Sixteen tools, all read-only

Analytical reads carry their window, sample size and as-of date; every result carries the delayed-data disclosure. When there is no data, the tool says so in a sentence — your assistant is never handed a fabricated number.

get_drivers the Drivers panel — up to five reads in a language that you understand, each with its window, sample size and date
get_signal_scorecard six technical signals plus the weighted composite in [−1, +1]
get_earnings_call_summaries every cached earnings-call summary, newest quarter first
get_options_flow the day's call/put premium split, notable contracts and narrative
get_correlation the most-correlated names with each pair’s coefficient and overlap
get_news recent articles about one covered stock or ETF — headline, publisher, link, ET day and session — with the news provider’s tone score counted per band over 1, 7 or 30 days, counting only articles scored at least 0.90 relevant to the symbol
get_quote delayed quote carrying its own timestamp and source
get_price_history daily bars over 1M–5Y, truncation disclosed past 300 bars
get_market_movers the movers board, each section stamped with its data date
get_setups the Setups board from the app — US stocks that matched one of four rules in the nightly scan, the same rows for everyone, each with its rule, a sentence on what matched, the last 10 closes and the delayed price
get_market_backdrop the latest session market-wide — how stocks, long Treasuries, crude and the dollar closed (ETF proxies), the VIX, and the 10-year, fed funds and oil levels with their own as-of day, plus whether it was a scheduled Fed, CPI or payrolls day
get_fundamentals vendor-reported fundamentals — nothing modeled
get_option_expirations listed option expiration dates
get_options_chain one expiration’s chain around the at-the-money strike, with IV and greeks
get_expected_move the options-implied move into the nearest expiry
analyze_options_strategy exact payoff math for a strategy you describe — breakevens, honest max gain and loss, the curve. It never proposes a structure.

Keys are shown once and stored only as a hash; revoking one takes effect within five minutes. Calls are rate-limited per account. Market data is delayed by at least 15 minutes. The strategy tool analyzes exactly the structure it is given — the same research-not-advice grammar as every cagnIQ surface.
